sigh....Friday was a most mundane day. I did lay out by the pool for an hour and for that I have a roasted hotdog look which isn't the most flattering. What's worse is I was reading the latest Dean Koontz book and I had a towel over part of me and wouldn't you know it, my tan, when it turns to a tan, isn't going to be that lovely smooth tan that one hopes to have when laying out by the pool, but rather this a haphazard line of demarcation on my stomach....it's rather disconcerting to say the least.

I was supposed to hang out with Wade yesterday. As he suggested we hang out during the day, but I saw hide nor hair of him all day yesterday. He was kind enough to call about 7:00 ish to say he was at the mall with Esther who apparently is going away for awhile to play nanny. *shivers* Apparently he forgot. Again.

I was supposed to have dinner with Melissa last night as her nephew was graduating high school and she was going to be in town. I have to say I was looking forward to it a great deal but in the back of my mind the possibility that she wouldn't show or call or anything (again) played itself out. So it didn't come as too great a surprise when I found myself watching Lawe & Order: Trial by Jury followed by reruns of Friends and Will & Grace.

Needless to say the stock I have in people seems to have plummeted a great deal in the last 24 hours. I'd like to think that I have this devil may care attitude about it, that it's not like it hasn't happened time and time again, but the truth of the matter is that it does erode my faith in people. You'd think I'd know better by now.
