TGI....ain't that just a lot of crap...Friday's
2001-04-13 - 12:56 a.m. There was 7 of us tonight on my bon voyage gathering. Paige, (not forgotten) Tom, (who could have been forgotten) jenni (wanting to do some forgettin') Michael and Chris (unforegettable) Wade (who never forgets) and me (forget about it) Everyone was acting really out of the ordinary. Even I was really. i don't know what it was. I mean it was good that everybody was together, but it felt like everybody had an attitude. Everybody whispering to somebody else, telling people about the other people at the table. It didn't feel very cohesive. california tom was pretty annoying, but especially so this time because he is bound and determined to make Jenni his and well Jenni isn't as bound and determined as he is, if she's bound and determined at all. Although Tom doesn't know this, which is sort of the problem. He was not happy to have to wait while everyone showed up because well he had things to do and he just was not very patient at all. So he stormed off and we persuaded that Jenni should make her way along with him cuz well, "you're supposed to dance with the one who brung ya" And its not right that she should practically ignore him if she is the one who invited him. Especially when what he had planned was going ot the mall and get steady rings and she wants to send him off with her ring size and he is to get them by himself. She needs to set him straight (no pun intended) I think an envelope with said ring in it should arrive in california a couple days later after he does with an explanation about how its not going to work, if she can't tell him face to faceIf that's what she wants. Jenni was, well lets see, a bit fractious, in and of herself. She didn't want to be there with tom, but she couldn't act like it, though it was not a successful acting job, things were said that were apparently not wanted said, things that Wade was supposed to fix, at least according to the hair draped private conversation they were having on the couch. if its what I think it is, which I won't go into, then there's nothing to be fixed. it doesn't matter. Since I'm not going into it, don't ask. Cuz i won't tell you. just a theory of mine that is pretty obvious. Wade was in unique form. He started out having a good time before everybody showed up. But then things went a bit awry somewhere between my apartment to Walmart and then to Target to TGI FRIDAY's. WADE was not TGIing that it was Friday's He hated Friday's. And then he declared he was wrong for once and I'm thinking to myself that this is what was going to be fixed from earlier in the evening. But it can be lots of other things. Wade has a tendency to keep everything on the fire and is always contemplating all these different scenarios. So it could be any number of other things. Chris didn't seem to be having a grand old time which sort of brought down our end of the table. Actually like I mentioned before there wasn't much grand ol' time had by anyone, so I can't exactly say it was just Chris. He said he was tired but he's usually hilarious and he was just quiet. From now on, no more quiet Chris. :)I think he was abit perturbed with Tom too. And then I am a bit worried about him and michael. Let me just say I want everybody happy, I want Michael to be happy, I want Chris to be happy. I want them to be happy together. Sometimes they seem a bit strained to gether other times they seem so perfectly contented, I'm envious of the affection they have for each other. Michael was the center of attention last night. He really was. Maybe, hmmmm, maybe he too is a vortex. 3 vortexes in one group. Its no wonder we're so fractious. But he seems so not self conscious, he's very self assured, except when we were talking about piercings and he mispoke. He seemed a bit embarassed about that, but it was no big deal. he has a very good presence, he has a little charisma that charms at least three people that I noticed at the table. For different reasons obviously but the connection is there and is very strong between each of the three of them and him. he may be the strongest of the vortexes. Its good to be on the periphery. you can circulate around whichever vortex is strongest without expecting any special attention paid to you. We didn't forget paige. Didn't even have to remind anyone to call her or anything. She was there before Michael and Chris showed up. Dr Pepper was had by all, (except Cali boy who had Sprite.) So it was good. Till we ventured to buy a digital camera. and then to TGI FRIDAYS and well I could have almost stayed home and did laundry. Sometimes I don't get everybody. like i shouldn't have had to argue to go to TGI FRIDAY'S. Someone shouldn't have tried to pretend to run over someone with a car. Everyone should just say it like it is. Don't hurt anyone, but if not saying it will eventually do just that, then say it and get it over with. Sometimes this group might just give me an ulcer. Somethings said about some people really shouldn't have been said at all. I think Monday is a good opportunity for a big group hug and everyone should start over with a clean slate. Put everything in order. So that when I come back you will be one big happy cohesive group. There's a lot of crap that really needs to be left in the past. New start, clean slate. Granted there are things and people not necessarily part of the group, offenses that can't be forgotten, and shouldn't be, but you know its a shitty wrold out here and maybe you should take care of yourselves and not tear each other apart. If this doesn't make sense then it doesn't pertain to you, if it makes sense then you don't need to know what I'm referring to because you have either did what is mentioned or are doing it, or thinking it. Its a self realizing entry. A catharis, even Anyway I gotta go do laundry and pack and go to the bank and get travellers checks and all kinds of other last minute things that should be done by now.
